A campus interview was organized for the students of B.Pharm and M.Pharm by Gufic Biosciences Ltd. Navsari on 21st February, 2014 at Maliba Pharmacy College. Gufic Biosciences is pioneer in the field of lyophilized preparations.
Mr. Chirag Patel who is presently pursuing M.Pharm in Pharmaceutics (2012-2014) has been selected.

An expert talk on "Good Manufacturing Practices" was held at Maliba Pharmacy College on 14-3-2014. Mr. Prashant Desai is a Production Manager at S Kant Pharmaceuticals Ltd. Vapi. The session was about Good Practices in documentation, laboratory and manufacturing. He also explained its application in industry. The session was very informative and knowledgeable. Students of final year B.Pharm, First year M.Pharm and final year M.Pharm attended the session and they came to know about different guidelines followed in industries. Mr. Desai informed the students regarding importance of accuracy, precision, purity, safety and quality in manufacturing of formulations. At the end, Mr. Desai provided information regarding S Kant Pharmaceuticals and various products exported by the company. The students were also informed about the various opportunities for the pharmacist in industry.
A campus interview was organized for the students of B.Pharm and M.Pharm by Gufic Bioscience Ltd. Navsari on 28th February, 2014 at Maliba Pharmacy College. Gufic Bioscience Ltd. is a pioneer pharmaceutical organization formulating lyophilized preparations.
A total of 43 students consisting of 39 M.Pharm and 4 B.Pharm students were screened in personnel interview by the panel members.
The panel members consisted of Dr. Anand and Mr. Jignesh from Q.A. and Q.C. departments Ms. binal and Ms. Unnati from HR.
Two days national workshop on "Computation of Statistical Analysis using SPSS for Pharmaceutical Research" was organized by Maliba Pharmacy College, UkaTarsadiaUinversity, Maliba Campus, Bardoli on 6th and 7th March 2014 in IBM Centre of Excellence Computer Laboratory.
The main objectives of the workshop was to train the participants theoretically and practically in simple and advanced statistics using "Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS)".So as to develop analytical skills. About 40 delegates from different field of health care system like medical, Pharmacy, nursing, and biotechnology were participated in the workshop. The workshop was divided in five different scientific sessions including practical training sessions. Experts like Dr. Bavin Vyas, Dr. Paras Patel, Dr.Ketan Ranch and Dr.Jitesh Parmar had delivered lecture as well as conducted training session.
Dr.Akash Acharya, Associate Professor, Centre for Social Study, Veer Narmad South Gujarat Uinversity, Surat had been invited as Chief Guest for the workshop. Sir had also delivered lecture as well as practical training session on "SPSS: Getting Started".
