Service Rule


  • 1. You will be entitled to the benefit of provident fund in accordance with the rules and regulation framed by management.
  • 2. The payment of the salary is subjected to deductions like income tax etc. as applicable time to time.
  • 3. You shall be on probation for two years from the date of joining (here in after called probation) and the said probation shall be extended by another one year or more purely at discretion of the management.
  • 4. Your service shall be liable to be terminated during probation, by giving ONE MONTH notice or salary in lieu thereof however, in case of termination of service on disciplinary grounds; no such condition of notice or payment in lieu thereof shall apply.
  • 5. Similarly, you may resign from your employment after giving ONE MONTH notice in writing (or salary in lieu of such notice if accepted by the management of the college at their sole discretion). However, in the interest of education and the career of the students, it is highly desirable and expected of you that you shall not leave the service in between a semester.
  • 6. You shall continue on probation till your service is confirmed in writing by the management and on confirmation or two years whichever is earlier. After the probation period, your service shall be liable to be terminated by giving you THEREE MONTH notice or salary in lieu thereof however, in case of termination of service on disciplinary grounds in which case no such notice or payment in lieu thereof shall be necessary.
  • 7. Similarly you may resign from your employment after probation period by giving THEREE MONTH notice in writing (or salary in lieu or such notice if accepted by the management of the college at their sole discretion). However, in the interest of education and the career of the students, if is highly desirable and expected that you shall not leave the services in between a semester.
  • 8. Strict compliance of the rules and regulation and maintaining highest standard of discipline and decorum on and off the campus shall also be an essential service condition. Any breach of this decorum discipline shall render your service liable to be terminated at the sole discretion of the management of the college on disciplinary ground. Some of the major compliance acts or omissions constituting misconduct are listed (as indicative only) below which shall attract disciplinary action resulting in a suspension pending enquiry in case of allegation against you, and / or in termination of services:-
    • i. While you may enjoy all the leave benefits admissible in Regular category, it is forbidden without prior permission from the head of the college / management to remain absent from duty and /or proceeding on leave or overstay the sanctioned leave.
    • ii. You're being found medically fit and remaining medically fit shall be a Pre-condition of your appointment and continuance in employment of the college. For this purpose, the college shall have the right to get you re examined from a doctor, as it may deem proper.
    • iii. You shall be the full time employee of the college and, thereof, shall not engage yourself if any work, profession or employment either honorary or otherwise during the period of your employment with the college.
    • iv. You will devote your full time to the duties assigned to you and shall not engage yourself if any private tuitions with or without remuneration and shall submit signed declaration to that effect, in the prescribed format, as a part of joining formality.
    • v. You will not prepare or publish any books /paper without prior permission of the college or assist anybody else directly or indirectly in the publication of any book / paper.
    • vi. You shall not canvass for any publication or for any publishing firm or any trade, not shall have any directly /indirectly in the publication of any book / paper.
    • vii. You shall not enter into any monetary transactions with any student or his parents and shall not misuse your position as a Programmer for personal gains and shall not conduct yourself in such a manner that in the opinion of the College could harm the reputation and / or cause embarrassment to the Management / College or its affiliates and functionaries.
    • viii. You will conform to all the rules and regulations of the College in force from time to time and shall carry out all other lawful orders, instructions, directions etc. received from head of the college / Management to you in connection with the day-to-day discharge of your duties in the College and shall also faithfully and sincerely perform such other duties as may be entrusted to you in connection with the College activities.
    • ix. You shall not practice or incite any student to practice castecism, communication or untouchability, or cause or incite to be caused any other person to damage the property of the College or behave or encourage or incite any student or any other member of the faculty or staff to behave in a disorderly manner in the premises of the College or outside, or organize or attend any meeting during the College hours except when it is a part of any in-house meeting relating to your assigned duty or when you are required or permitted by the head of the College / Management to do so.
    • x. You shall not utilize, disclose, circulate, publish or divulge or use (nor shall cause it to be utilized, disclosed, circulated, publish or divulged ) any sensitive, confidential or classified information or document acquired by you during the course of employment, either as a part of your functioning on duty or otherwise either for personal gain or for intentional or unintentional harm detriment or embarrassment to or of the Management / College or its affiliates and functionaries.
    • Xi. (a) You shall be responsible for the care and safe custody of the furniture, books, apparatus, record and such other articles belonging to the Management / College or the University as may be in your possession or entrusted to you and in case of any damage or loss and liable to make recover the loss / damage to the satisfaction of the College.
    • (b) Similarly, on expiry / termination of your appointment you shall deliver or cause to be delivered to the College all the above stated articles that were entrusted to you or in your possession to the satisfaction of the College.
    • (c) In the cases at (a) & (b) above, the College shall have the right to make recover the same from your salary or other dues besides taking any other disciplinary action.
    • Xi. Your date of birth once recorded with us on the basis of relevant document presented by you shall not be permitted to be changed at a later date under any circumstances.
    • 9. You shall have to improve your educational qualification according to the norms Laid down from time to time by AICTE/UGC/University /state Government.
    • 10. In case of any dispute regarding your appointment, the decision of a Court or other component bodies including the Gujarat Affiliated Colleges Services Tribunal shall be binding upon you and you shall not be entitled or eligible to claim any right, against Management / College if as a result of such a decision, your appointment is terminated.
    • 11. Your appointment is made with the best intention to meet with the teaching workload based on strength of students and norms of statutory authorities as of present. In case of unfortunate event of reduction in the number of students or change in the statutory norms resulting in reduction in teaching work load, the tenure of this appointment shall be liable to be concluded by giving you one month˜s notice period.
    • 12. The Joining Form and other Declarations required to be filled and signed at the time of joining the duties shall also form part of the terms and conditions of appointment. In case of changes, if any, therein (including contact particulars), it shall be your duty to intimate, in writing through the head of the College, such changes immediately but in no case later than three days from the date of such changes.
    • 13. Your appointment is made with a view for the growth of the students and the College / Management to the highest level of excellence. We have considered your potential to contribute as a key factor and therefore, it is earnestly expected of you to:
      • Loyally commit yourself to the values and purpose of the Management / College,
      • Contribute positively to the development of all areas of the endeavor undertaken by the authorities,
      • Participate whole heartedly and devotedly in a wide range of such endeavors and activities, which may be beyond your own area of responsibility,
      • Demonstrate high level of personal integrity and honesty as well as etiquette,
      • Deal with diverse range of stakeholders in a most desirable way so as to promote the values and principles established by the authorities,
      • Apply and upgrade your expertise and professional standing as an ongoing ritual,
      • Participate proactively and positively in developing an ambitious vision for the institution/s and attaining it,
      • Encourage a supportive environment of teamwork, cooperative and collaborative approach, to handle competing demands and manage the rapidly changing environment and
      • We look forward to receiving your valuable contribution on this journey of excellence. In case any of the terms / conditions contradicts with any of the provisions of Ordinance 69-A of University the later will prevail.
