The department of Pharmacognosy deals with systemic study of crude drugs from plant, animal and mineral along with their active chemical constituents

The department aims to provide a holistic healthcare system and modern health care system.

The department of Pharmacogosy comprises

1. Pharmacognosy Lab I & II:
• Knowledge of plant taxonomy, breeding, pathology and its genetics for developing medicinal and aromatic plants
• Specimen of the various medicinal plant and crude drug
• Various chromatographic techniques and extraction procedure for identification and separation of phytochemical constituents
• Well maintained medicinal garden with 120 plants
